As part of a substantial restructure, Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking (London, United Kingdom) has launched two specialist healthcare relationship teams.

Designated part of the small and medium enterprise (SME) commercial banking division, the two teams will offer industry-specific support for firms in London (United Kingdom). The new healthcare teams will assist elderly, specialist, and homecare providers, in addition to children’s specialist services, and which include both the private and not-for-profit markets private hospitals and specialist clinics with a turnover of up to GBP 25 million.

The healthcare team will provide customers with relevant and tailored guidance geared specifically to the industry, and will also be supported by nine relationship managers with a combined 180 years of experience, who will undergo continuous professional development (CPD) training courses. The teams will also address clients in the pharmaceutical industry, one of the United Kingdom’s leading sectors, allied to the development and distribution of generic drugs, branded medicine, parallel trades, and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines.

“This is a really exciting time for our SME teams across London, and hundreds of local businesses are set to benefit from an enhanced level of support as a result of the London restructure,” said Mark Kiely, senior manager of healthcare at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking. “We have a huge amount of experience and expertise that customers will be able to take advantage of, and all our team members will undergo regular training in order to develop this even further.”

“Recognizing and responding to the needs of our local business community is incredibly important to us,” added Mr. Kiely. “We're committed to helping British firms prosper and we understand that in order to do this, we need to provide them with access to relationship managers who have a deep understanding of their industry.”

As part of the restructure of the SME division, Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has also launched other new sector teams, such as media, technology and advertising, transport, construction, and hospitality and leisure.
