A circular cutting blade device works faster than any pair of scissors and can slice almost any type of clothing people wear on a daily basis.

The S-CUT 06-501 device replaces scissors, knives, or similar tools, and it is designed for use on patients in rescue situations, as well as in emergencies in hospitals. The circular cutting blade rapidly cuts through the patient's clothes, exposing potential injuries without needing to manipulate the patient's position, a procedure that could inflict further injury or unnecessary pain. The S-CUT is made of stainless steel, anodized aluminum, and heat resistant plastic parts; while strong detergents may affect the anodized surface, they will not affect the cutting performance.

The S-CUT slices through ordinary fabrics as well as leather belts, zippers, and even heavy outerwear garments. The ergonomically designed handle allows the device to be used with thick gloves, and provides an excellent grip for use in heavy materials by using a pulling action that requires minimal effort. The circular cutting blade is recessed in order to protect the patient and user from injury, and can be easily replaced without the need for any additional tools. The more advanced S-CUT model 06-601 has an additional slitting function, a feature that eliminates the need for a free edge to start the cut.

The S-CUT is manufactured by ES Equipment (Gothenburg, Sweden), and is used in hospitals and ambulance stations throughout Europe, the Swedish International Rescue Service, Fire Brigades, and the Swedish Army.
