ZOLL Medical Corporation (Chelmsford MA, USA), an Asahi Kasei Group company (Tokyo, Japan), that manufactures medical devices and related software solutions, displayed its fully integrated portfolio of resuscitation and acute critical care technologies and data management solutions at Arab Health 2018.

ZOLL portfolio of defibrillators showcased at the event included the AED Plus, the AED Pro, the ZOLL AED 3, the R Series, and the X Series feature Real CPR Help audio and visual feedback for the correct depth, rate, release, and tracking of idle time. ZOLL’s proprietary See-Thru CPR technology, which minimizes the duration of pauses in CPR by enabling rescuers to see a patient’s organized underlying rhythm, is available on the R Series, the X Series, and the AED Pro. Another ZOLL technology that helps reduce interruptions in compressions and increase the amount of high-quality CPR provided by rescuers is RapidShock analysis, which is available on the X Series and the ZOLL AED 3. The new RapidShock functionality is the fastest rhythm analysis in the world, giving the rescuer a shock/no shock decision in as little as three seconds.

With ZOLL’s new CPR training application in virtual reality, attendees at the company’s booth at Arab Health 2018 had the opportunity to experience the power of Real CPR Help with the new ZOLL AED 3 in a virtual world. Attendees became “Unexpected Heroes” in a virtual rescue with this fully immersive virtual reality scenario. Attendees also had the opportunity to experience moving patients with ongoing mechanical CPR using the company’s AutoPulse Resuscitation System. Participants experienced how quickly the AutoPulse can be deployed using the new Quick Case, which allows EMS providers to continue providing high-quality CPR while moving patients around tight corners and down steep stairs.
