Karl Storz Highlights Breakthrough Imaging Technology IMAGE1 S Rubina for Endosurgical Procedures

Karl Storz SE & Co. KG (Tuttlingen, Germany) exhibited its wide endoscopy product portfolio as well as integrated system solutions for the operating room at the 2021 edition of Arab Health which took place in Dubai from 21-24 June.

At Arab Health 2021, the company highlighted C-MAC, the only airway management system allowing the connection of multiple endoscopes to a single monitor. Whether performing a routine or a difficult intubation, the C-MAC system offers the right answer to the daily challenges encountered in airway management. The ergonomic design and excellent image display make them excellent tools for continued education. Whether users prefer Video laryngoscopes, Flexible Intubation Endoscopes, or the new C-MAC Video Stylet, they can always simultaneously connect two endoscopes to a single C-MAC monitor. The new C-MAC HD monitor succeeds the long-standing legacy of C-MAC family with superior features such as interactive Full HD resolution (1920x1200) touch screen, with dual connection, picture-in-picture & side-by-side modes, built in microphone and direct recording, auto or time-machine mode (60s before start), and compatibility with all C-MAC solutions.

The company also introduced the new C-MAC HD Video Laryngoscopes for HD image when combined with the 8404ZX C-MAC Monitor. They are backward compatible with the 8403ZX C-MAC monitor and Pocket Monitor (PM). Featuring robust titanium handles, they are available in all the familiar sizes from 3rd generation (MAC, MILLER & D-BLADE). Another attraction was the company’s new C-MAC HD Pocket Monitor, a 3.5-inches monitor with high contrast image even in bright daylight. It is able to document images and videos without external memory, features an exchangeable and rechargeable battery, and is completely waterproof (IPX8). The C-MAC HD Pocket Monitor is compatible with all video laryngoscopes sizes (reusable and disposable).

In addition, Karl Storz highlighted its new IMAGE1 S Rubina endosurgical visualization system that combines state-of-the-art 4K resolution with enhanced fluorescence-guided imaging. Its unique dual-4K sensors and dual-LED technology allows surgeons to toggle seamlessly between white-light and various fluorescence modes to suit different surgical needs, without the lag or mismatched frames that are common with alternative technologies. Because IMAGE1 S is a modular system, existing 4K customers can upgrade to this technology for half the cost of competing technologies.
