Drägerwerk AG (Lübeck, Germany) displayed its technologies, products and services designed to help hospitals achieve the best results at the Arab Health 2022 held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 24 to 27.

At this year’s Arab Health, Dräger exhibited how hospitals could adapt acute care workstations ideally to their specific needs with its Ambia ceiling-mounted supply unit. With its numerous accessories and wide range of variation options, the Ambia ensures maximum flexibility at the workplace. This not only helps to improve hospital workflows, but also increases the well-being of staff and patients alike.

Dräger’s main focus at the event was on how the company can support hospitals to improve patient care by enhancing human capabilities with its connected medical devices and system solutions. As a specialist in acute care, the company envisions a future of acute care where medical devices are connected as systems, interacting with one another enabling new clinical applications in a safe and secure environment. Dräger’s areas of expertise include alarm management to reduce the stress and alarm fatigue induced by acoustic alarms while simultaneously increasing the efficiency of clinical processes across stations; cybersecurity to ensure the continuous delivery of care, while protecting assets and sensitive data of hospitals and their patients in sync with regulations; hospital data analytics to manage the cost of care by increasing efficiencies and improve outcomes by enabling data-based decision making; and breaking today’s boundaries of medical device connectivity by the utilization of ISO/IEEE 11073-SDC for secure and dynamic interoperability in acute care environments.

Dräger also demonstrated its ventilation solutions that improve clinical outcomes in intensive care, reduce mortality rates, and increase patient outcome and staff satisfaction, alongside its neonatal ventilation solutions that improve outcomes during the newborn’s golden hour, transport path and NICU stay. On display was the Dräger Atlan A300/A300 XL anesthesia device platform with a comprehensive set of clinical features and proven ventilation quality that make it the ideal anesthesia workstation for all patients and surgical procedures. The company also displayed its A350/A350 XL anesthesia workstation that is equipped with an electronic gas mixer with automatic fresh-gas composition control and provides full flexibility for most spatial conditions.
