A long-term, comprehensive worldwide agreement will make the SET (signal extraction technology) pulse oximetry of Masimo Corp. (Irvine, CA, USA) available to the patient monitoring customers of Philips Medical Systems ( Best, The Netherlands).

A Masimo SET Module for the Philips IntelliVue Monitors was introduced at the annual meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists in San Francisco (CA, USA). For the large installed base of CMS and V24/V26 patient monitors, Masimo SET technology is available through a specific Philips VueLink interface module or the Masimo SatShare interface. In addition, Masimo will sell its LNOP sensors to Philips installed customer base.

We are very excited to be able to offer our customers the choice of Masimo SET pulse oximetry,” said Ken Ferry, senior vice president and general manager, Philips Medical Systems. "Masimo has pioneered motion and low perfusion-tolerant technology, and enjoys tremendous support within the clinical and research community.”
