The 2005 Arab Health Exhibition and Congress will be held in Dubai (UAE, United Arab Emirates), February 12-15. Organizers state that this will be the largest-ever exhibition of any kind to be hosted in Dubai, occupying every hall in the International Exhibition Center and attracting more than 3,000 exhibitors.Posted on 11 Jan 2005
The event will be attended by high-ranking company executives and representatives from large healthcare groups such as the Cleveland Clinic (OH, USA), Johns Hopkins International (Baltimore, MD, USA), and Guy's & St. Thomas Hospital National Health Service (NHS) Trust (London, UK). These high-profile guests will meet with ministers of health and senior medical executives from across the Middle East to discuss a new series of direct partnerships and other healthcare developments.
The organizers note that the healthcare industry is now the Middle East's second largest employer, with an estimated value of US$74 billion in 2004. Deals in excess of U.S. 1 billion are expected to be announced at this year's event, including the unveiling of plans for some of the region's most significant hospitals and medical campuses. With this conference, Arab Health will celebrate 30 years in the Middle East, making it one of the longest-running exhibitions in the region.
