Philips Wins Leadership Award for PACS

Philips Medical Systems (Best, The Netherlands) has recently been presented with the Frost & Sullivan (Palo Alto, CA, USA) 2005 Product Line Leadership Award for its accomplishments in the U.S. cardiology picture archiving and communication system (PACS) markets.Posted on 31 Oct 2005
This award annual annually recognizes the company that has shown the most insight into customer needs and product demands. Frost & Sullivan, an international consultancy company, stressed how Philips consistently evolves its system set while enabling customers to upgrade from single modality systems to a true multimodality, integrated cardiology information system. At the center of the Philips cardiology information technology (IT) product range is the Xcelera system, the latest generation of cardiology information systems and one of the most flexible digital imaging archive systems that Philips provides.

In addition to this award, Klas Enterprises (Oren, UT, USA), a research and consulting firm specializing in the monitoring and reporting of performance data for healthcare information technology (HIT) vendors, recently ranked Philips as best overall cardiology PACS vendor in its Cardiology PACS Study 2005, published on June 22, 2005.
