Frost & Sullivan (Palo Alto, CA, USA), an international growth consultancy company, presented GE Healthcare (Chalfont S. GE Healthcare's list of 'firsts' is impressive, particularly in the significant field of digital imaging, which has altered the way radiology is performed, according to Frost & Sullivan industry research manager, Antonio Garcia. "From developing the world's first full field flat-panel digital mammography system to the first fully digital flat-panel cardiac catheterization system, GE Healthcare has blazed a trail in the digitization of the medical imaging installed base.”
"The company has also led the market in providing integrated, real-time image processing and enhancement functionality, such as dual energy subtraction and tomosynthesis, on its digital x-ray systems at a time when some other vendors were struggling to come to market with a successful digital capture system,” added Mr. Garcia.
Each year this award is presented to a company that has shown excellence in all operations within its industry--business development, competitive strategy, and leadership. The award recognizes outstanding management, consistent growth, and positive social and economic impact on the local and national communities and customers. It also applauds exceptional customer service and the company's ability to combine technology and successful strategic initiatives.
