The Cardiomax is manufactured by Instramed (Porto Alegre, Brazil), one of the largest manufacturers of medical equipment in Brazil. The company recently received the European CE marking for its Cardiomax line of defibrillator monitors, the first such distinction for this product segment—360-joule 2-phase defibrillators—in Latin America. This will enable the company to market the product to EU countries, and others.

According to Arthur Morales, general manager of Instramed, the certification, linked to the features of the Cardiomax, augurs a potential 50-percent growth for the Instramed defibrillator division in 2010.
