Global Healthcare Industry Leaders Meet in Dubai

The 36th edition of Arab Health Exhibition and Congress (Dubai, UAE), the Middle East's largest healthcare event, is also the Arab world's largest gathering of healthcare professionals.Posted on 07 Feb 2011
The four-day Arab Health Exhibition and Congress, which ended on January 27, 2011, was the biggest event of its kind in the Middle East and took advantage of all available exhibition space at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC, UAE), featuring more than 2,800 exhibiting companies from 60 countries, and covering an area of 85,000 square meters. More than 300 new exhibitors and a host of new country pavilions participated, with Argentina, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and Portugal making their debuts, according to the organizers.
Major delegations came from China, with over 400 participating companies, Germany with over 350 companies and the United Arab Emirates, United States, United Kingdom, and Italy, all showed a strong presence, with well over 150 companies exhibiting. Large representations also come from France, India, South Korea, and Taiwan with upwards of 100 companies each. Six concurrent medical conferences took place, with topics ranging from gastroenterology, anesthesia, orthopedics, and quality management (QM) in healthcare.
"The global healthcare profession has come together at Arab Health 2011, which has again confirmed its positioning as one of the world's most important healthcare events," said Simon Page, director of the life sciences division of IIR Middle East (Dubai, UAE), the organizers of the event. "Arab Health provides over 65,000 visiting healthcare professionals a unique opportunity to bring their knowledge and understanding up to date with over 480 hours of continuing medical education (CME)."
