Ethicon Endo-Surgery Acquires Megadyne Medical Products

Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc., a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, has acquired Megadyne Medical Products, Inc., a privately held medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets electrosurgical tools used in operating rooms.

Ethicon offers various surgical technologies and solutions including sutures, staplers, energy devices, trocars and hemostats. Megadyne's portfolio of electrosurgical tools complements Ethicon's advanced energy tools, such as monopolar and bipolar electrodes, patient return electrodes, generators and smoke evacuation systems.
