GE HealthCare, DeepHealth Expand AI Breast Imaging Collaboration

GE HealthCare and DeepHealth, a RadNet subsidiary, have expanded their collaboration to bring enhanced capabilities of DeepHealth’s new AI-powered Breast Suite to market, including ProFound Pro and Safeguard Review. This next phase extends international access to breast cancer solutions and adds a second-reader workflow while integrating with GE HealthCare’s Senographe Pristina and Pristina Via mammography platforms. Paired together, the offering is designed to support scalable, high‑efficiency breast cancer screening programs.
Breast Suite is a cloud-based suite of modular, interoperable applications that integrates into existing breast imaging workflows. ProFound Pro combines AI-driven Cancer Detection, which provides automatic lesion localization and a degree of suspicion effective in diverse populations and dense breast tissue, with Automated Density Assessment for consistent classification across two-dimensional and three-dimensional mammograms. Safeguard Review is an optional AI-powered workflow that flags complex cases that may benefit from a secondary review, while Timely Alerts can notify sites of potentially suspicious cases in minutes when integrated with Pristina Via; rapid image processing has flagged highly suspicious cases in under five minutes when used with Senographe Pristina and 1 GB bandwidth transmission.
Evidence cited by the companies includes the largest real‑world U.S. analysis of AI‑powered breast cancer screening, in which a multistage AI-driven workflow from Breast Suite enabled a 21% increase in cancer detection rate versus standard of care. A large U.S. study also reported a 21% overall increase and a 23% increase among women with dense breasts using a multistage AI-driven workflow. GE HealthCare also plans to feature Pristina Recon DL for deep learning–enhanced digital breast tomosynthesis image quality without compromising patient dose, as well as LOGIQ ultrasound systems and SenoBright HD contrast-enhanced mammography.
“At GE HealthCare, we’re advancing women’s health through precision care built around the unique needs of women and enhanced by the power of AI. By integrating Breast Suite AI with our Pristina Via™ mammography system, we’re helping clinicians detect breast cancer early with greater confidence. These innovations move us closer towards truly personalized prevention and care for women,” said Jyoti Gupta, PhD, President and CEO, Women’s Health and X-ray at GE HealthCare.
“At DeepHealth, we are committed to bringing the next era of AI-powered health informatics to help stage shift disease. Through our expanded collaboration with GE HealthCare, we are bringing the power of our new Breast Suite to providers around the world to enable early cancer detection, deeper clinical insights, and more confident decisions. Together we are pushing the boundaries of what mammography can deliver, not only for breast cancer screening but for women’s health more broadly,” stated Niccolo Stefani, MD, Business Leader Population Health & Clinical AI, DeepHealth.
