As of January 1, 2003, a new division called Delft Diagnostic Imaging, was formed by Delft Instruments N.V. (Delft, The Netherlands). The division will be part of the Delft Medical sector. At the same time, the company announced it has increased its interest in Rogan-Delft B.V., formerly Rogan Medical (Veenendaal, The Netherlands) from 70% to 85%. Rogan-Delft develops software for PACS.

Delft says by incorporating the existing diagnostic imaging activities in this new division, greater emphasis is placed on an important growth market. The new division includes the PACS service provider Oldelft Benelux B.V., Rogan-Delft, and the former thorax-imaging business segment of Nucletron (radiotherapy), now registered under the name Delft Imaging Systems.

In addition, Delft Instruments has acquired 40% of MTS-Delft (Aurora, OH, USA), a PACS service provider to the American market. Delft Instruments eventually plans to acquire a majority holding in MTS-Delft, which will then also become part of Delft Diagnostic Imaging.
