A UV-C LED disinfection robot that was tested in the laboratory using high concentrations of live samples of human coronavirus has achieved a 99.9% efficacy for disinfection within five minutes at a working distance of 2.5 meters.

O-RX, the world's first successfully laboratory tested human coronavirus exterminating machine, uses OTSAW’s (Singapore) patented UV-C LED. O-RX is also the world’s first UV-C LED autonomous disinfection robot with a disinfection rate of 99.9%. Its innovative UV-C LED technology emits only UV-C light, which is effective in killing microbes, including viruses such as COVID-19. Using UV-C LED technology makes O-RX 70% more energy efficient as compared to conventional mercury lamps. In addition, it is friendly to humans as it is much safer and non-cancerous to human skin as compared to conventional mercury lamps that emit harmful UV-A and UV-B radiation.

O-RX has a battery that lasts for five hours and is equipped with a state-of-the-art heat management and cooling system to help counter the heat that is emitted from the high intensity LED modules in the robot. The disinfection robot can disinfect 4,000 square feet (371.6 square meters) hourly.

"The world has gone through drastic changes and is delicately poised socially and economically for changes ahead. OTSAW and the O-RX are now part of this new world as we restart and focus to unite humanity and beat this virus," said Ling Ting Ming, CEO/Founder of OTSAW.
