ECG-Management Software Optimizes Workflow

A new electrocardiogram (ECG)-management system supports clinical choice, optimizes workflow, and lowers cost of ownership while ensuring scalability.

The CardioECG-management software is a web-based application that enables users to easily and securely retrieve result data and tracings from various testing systems for reviewing, interpreting, and finishing reports. Key benefits include a multi-modality, multi-vendor device integration, with interfaces to 50 devices and 30 vendors, eliminating clinical compatibility barriers and offering a lower total cost of ownership, since the software allows customers to use existing equipment and to save on re-capitalization costs.

The CardioECG ensures scalability by handling up to 250 concurrent users, and delivers full worldwide-web based accessibility. Under a secured login, physicians can access CardioECG from anywhere on the hospital network, in their office, or at home. The CardioECG management software also integrates with the hospital's electronic health record (EHR).

Once data are collected, they can be exported in several formats for use in enterprise-level hospital information systems, such as electronic health records, demographic data, orders, and billing. This eliminates redundant data entry, potential for manual errors, and prevents duplicate patient records from being created.
