A new economical, simple to use vital signs monitoring system is designed for use throughout multiple care settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, private practices, and rural clinics.

The Philips SureSigns VS2 is a compact and cost-effective monitor, offering essential measurements such as noninvasive blood pressure (NBP), SpO2, temperature, and heart rate vital signs monitoring. The spot check monitor is intended for use with neonates, as well as pediatric and adult patients. An intuitive user interface helps reduce the amount of time necessary for clinician training, increasing the time spent on patient care. The VS2 is able to store up to 100 patient records at any given time, allowing clinicians to view stored records for all patients or a selected patient with a push of a button. In addition, a new optional wireless capability permits the user to easily transport the system from patient to patient to obtain needed data, and to securely transmit patient information in HL7 format via a wired or wireless connection to the patient's electronic medical record (EMR). An intuitive navigation menu and a bright and easy color display make using the monitor and measurement reading simple and easy.
