A new handheld digital blood pressure (BP) device delivers fast, reliable, readings using electronic medical record (EMR)-ready and Bluetooth wireless technology.

The Connex ProBP 3400 provides a portable option for capturing reliable BP readings in virtually any hospital or primary care environment. The device is small enough to be comfortably hand carried, but can also be wheeled on a mobile stand or secured to the wall. Hospital-grade SureBP technology enables fast, accurate readings in just 15 seconds, nearly twice as fast as other electronic BP devices, and the Connex ProBP is compatible with the complete range of cuff sizes for quick and easy cuff changes, and to help reduce the risk and cost of cross contamination.

The Connex ProBP also features a rechargeable lithium ion battery that stays charged for at least 100 readings, retaining up to 50 readings in its internal memory. The mercury- and latex-free device is safe for patients and the environment, and the wireless Bluetooth or USB cable-wired connectivity capabilities help to reduce greatly the amount of time it takes to capture readings and transfer them to EMRs. The Connex ProBP 3400 is a product of Welch Allyn (Skaneateles Falls, NY, USA)
