A new life-saving aid for first responders and others attempting to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) uses patented technology to talk CPR-trained individuals through the CPR steps for adults, children, and infants.Posted on 03 Jul 2002
Called CPR Prompt, the audio aid is designed for would-be rescuers who have had CPR training but may not remember the exact CPR procedure. The device is lightweight and can fit into a pocket, purse, or on a key chain. CPR Prompt represents a good way for first responders as well as parents, spouses, and siblings to practice the CPR routine and also to refresh their CPR skills when these have deteriorated. Periodic checks between training courses can reveal the need for practice.
CPR Prompt is the product of Complient Corp. (Solon, OH, USA), a manufacturer of CPR emergency and training products and accessories. "Since CPR skills deteriorate significantly just three months after training, the CPR Prompt is a valuable tool to keep on hand,” said Bob Kaplan, General Manager of CPR Prompt product line.
