Anesthetists to Convene in Orlando

The annual meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) will be held October 12-16, 2002, in Orlando, FL (USA). The meeting will offer lectures, problem-based learning discussions, clinical forums, and a refresher course and clinical update program. In addition, Breakfast Panels will offer nourishment for both mind and body. The Committee on Scientific Papers selected 1,377 abstracts for presentation this year. Posted on 12 Sep 2002
The clinical forums will cover the following topics: adult ambulatory/geriatrics and recovery room, pediatric anesthesiology, general anesthesia and trauma, cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, neuroanesthesia, ethics, and pain management. The meeting will also include a technical exhibit. About 300 companies are expected to participate in the technical exhibit. More details are available on the ASA's website.
