A high-performance workstation helps vascular surgeons and radiologists plan endovascular and stent graft-specific measurements and visualization tasks, based on angiographic images.

The aycan OsiriX PRO workstation with SOVA.evar for vascular surgery and radiology is designed for visualization and measurement of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). The application runs on Apple (Cupertino, CA, USA) hardware, and allows surgeons to conduct a preoperative planning based solely on the computerized tomography (CT) data. As an output of the application, the users receive integrated reporting and stent-graft order form sheets from all major manufacturers, as well as generated screenshots of the visualizations for the documentation of the procedure.

Among the features of the workstation are one-click vessel lumen segmentation, automated determination of the center lumen line, interactive length measurement, visualization of the perpendicular plane along the centerline, and interactive diameter measurement. Practical combination of both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) views allow efficient and user-friendly visualization, without the need for special hardware. The aycan OsiriX PRO workstation is a product of aycan medical systems (aycan; Rochester, NY, USA).

The SOVA.evar plugin, developed by SOVAmed (Koblenz, Germany), is designed for use with OsiriX PRO visualization software, offering enhanced processing and visualization of medical imaging data, thus helping to assess clinically relevant parameters of AAA quicker and more precisely.
