Internet Based Solution Simplifies Electronic Medical Records

A Software as a service (SaaS) electronic medical records (EMR) solution utilizes the cloud to ensure its ease of use.

The C-Suite Electronic Medical Records (EMR) solution has an easy to use and intuitive user interface, and meets all Meaningful Use criteria, while also providing actionable reports and data. The system is based on a pay-per-use price model, with a predetermined annual cap. The business model is designed to offer an affordable solution that grows with the expansion of the practice, supporting up to 50 users. Since the system is web-based, it does not require expensive information technology (IT) hardware and software, and free upgrades are offered.

C-Suite EMR is offered with onsite training during the implementation process, with assistance and support available via phone or web conferencing. Training is also available via 1-2 minute subject and task specific video modules, covering such subjects as managing navigation schedules, changing time templates, how to manage patient check-in and check-out, and arranging block times. It is recommended that a "super user," trained on all EMR components, be appointed, and that remaining staff be trained on the portions of the EMR that pertain to their job responsibilities. The C-Suite EMR solution is a product of Clinic Service (Denver, CO, USA).

"From day one we wanted to create an EMR solution that is as easy to use as Yahoo. Hardware wears out, at minimum, it needs maintenance, and things inevitably go wrong. Our clients don't want to deal with IT at all; all they need is internet access," said Andrew Graham, CEO of Clinic Service. "By eliminating the need for any IT work out of the gate, we are saving practices tens of thousands of dollars in infrastructure cost. We have also priced the C-Suite solution on a unique 'pay-per-use' basis which allows any practice to begin using EMR software immediately."

Meaningful Use refers to healthcare IT goals set by the Obama Administration intended to use US federal financial incentives to stimulate the market of electronic health records (EHRs) and EMRs to improve care and healthcare coordination, reduce healthcare disparities, encourage population and public health policy implementation, and ensure adequate privacy and security. The detail definition of "meaningful use" is to be rolled out in three stages over a period of time until 2015.
