GINEVRI srl (Rome, Italy) showcased its range of neonatal incubators and warmers at this year's MEDICA, the world's largest annual medical technology trade fair, which took place from 18-21 November in Düsseldorf, Germany. At the 2019 edition of MEDICA, more than 5,000 exhibitors from 70 countries presented their newest products and ideas. The event also drew more than 120,000 trade visitors from over 170 countries.

GINEVRI manufactures advanced medical equipment and solutions for neonatal care. Its traditional range of products include infant incubators, transport incubators, infant warmers, radiant heaters and phototherapy lamps, including fiber optic mira as well as baby cots, bilimeters and oxygen tents. GINEVRI recently launched its Giulia neo-natal ventilator, which offers all the newest non-invasive ventilation modes at the disposal of newborns, allowing them to be treated more efficiently in conjunction with traditional ventilation techniques.

At MEDICA 2019, GINEVRI showcased its OGB Polytrend neonatal incubator featuring an unbreakable and light hood made from one-piece injection molded polycarbonate. The easy and complete disassembly of the incubator for cleaning and disinfection reduces the high risk of infections, while its wide hood featuring two main doors and six port holes comes as standard. Other key features include LCD screen, trends display, advanced full modularity, functions update via software and peripheric skin temperature monitoring.

GINEVRI also exhibited BABY SHUTTLE, a neonatal incubator that is microprocessor-driven which controls all the parameters necessary to obtain the ideal microclimate for the premature baby in any environmental condition. The desired parameters values are set through soft-touch sealed keys arranged in an intuitive and error free pattern and the data are displayed on a color LED or LCD screen. The hood grants maximum strength and thermal insulation and is also crushproof. This opening system, allows the maximum operability into the space patient even if the useful height of the means of transportation is limited. The BABY SHUTTLE transport incubator is equipped with the Smooth Tilt bed positioning system which allows the continuous and smooth adjustment of the posture bed. The BABY SHUTTLE incubator is equipped with a battery pack, including two high-capacity sealed-up batteries with internal gas recombination, guaranteeing autonomy over 90 minutes and allowing it to be air-transported.

At this year’s MEDICA, GINEVRI showcased its Alhena series of infant warmers which are considered to be the best for personnel “adept at work” as they permit more direct control of the temperature, observation, free access to the baby and to carry out in the most efficient way possible reanimation, oxygen therapy, and the execution of medical procedures which call for more than one person to be working at the same time. The Alhena series of infant warmers include the Alhena and Alhena Plus that allow the heating level to be controlled by the automatic, manual and pre-heating modes. Both the models come with visual and acoustic alarms for high and low skin temperature, malfunction and/or disconnection of the skin sensor probe and power loss.
