Diagnostic System for Internal Organ Diseases

A new noninvasive system based on the neurologic-reflexologic connection between internal organs and specific zones on the skin is designed to diagnose internal organ diseases, such as cardiovascular, endocrine, immune system, and digestive system diseases.

A trial of the system is now being planned at the Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases Institute at Surasky Medical Center (Tel Aviv, Israel) that will involve 310 patients suffering from a variety of liver diseases in various stages, in order to examine the possibilities for early detection of the disease as well as to monitor treatment. The system was developed by Medex Screen Ltd. (Arad, Israel), founded by Dr. Alexander Kanevsky.

"The screening will be conducted as a blind study,” explained Dr. Kanevsky. "As part of the trial, diabetes patients will also be examined to check the possibility of a connection and influence between systemic diseases and liver damage.”

The MedexTest is painless and free of radiation. The neurologic connection between internal organs and zones on the skin is expressed in the interaction between changes in electrical resistance and conductivity of the skin, and changes in the functioning of internal organs. These data are fed into the MedexTest system, which processes and analyzes the changes, and translates the analyzed data into visual information displayed on the system's screen. With a medical analysis of the chart, a doctor can suggest a diagnosis with up to 90% precision, its severity, and whether it is chronic or temporary. The entire process takes only 20 minutes, and is conducted through touches with a pen-like sensor on the patient's palm and foot.

MedexTest has received the CE Mark as a screening device for the early-stage diagnostics of internal organ disorders. The system has also been approved for use by the Israeli Ministry of Health.
