New Toxicology Assays from Bayer

Three new toxicology assays have been released for use on the Advia 1650 and 2400 clinical chemistry systems of Bayer Diagnostics (Tarrytown, NY).Posted on 15 Dec 2004
The assays are for paracetamol, ethanol, and salicylate. These assays offer laboratories the ability to test for disorders associated with poisoning, toxicity, and overdose, and assist in the rapid diagnosis and treatment associated with these emergency medical conditions. The Advia 1650 and 2400 systems provide high-speed automated testing platforms for these assays.
Bayer Diagnostics has also announced new automated methods for tobramycin, haptoglobin, and total iron binding capacity (TIBC), also on the Advia 1650 and 2400 systems, giving users the opportunity to consolidate more of their workload onto these cost-effective high-throughput systems.
