Smaller, Compact Chemistry Analyzer

A new Advia 1200 chemistry system is designed to meet the needs of laboratories seeking a compact yet highly productive analyzer for routine, esoteric, or back-up chemistry processing.

The system combines a small footprint of only 1.04 m2 with the ability to process a broad range of tests at the rate of 1,200 per hour. It delivers the full benefits of random-access automation to laboratories with low- to mid-volume workload requirements. The system will also be of interest to satellite, research, and specialist laboratories or any hospital clinical chemistry department where space is a premium.

The Advia 1200 uses the same reagent chemistries as the Advia 1650 and 2400 analyzers, and is an ideal backup to these larger systems. From Bayer Diagnostics (Tarrytown, NY, USA), the system offers other benefits, including minimal maintenance and dedicated STAT facilities that are enhanced by a real-time results monitor for fast reporting.
