Immunoassay System for Mid-sized Labs

A new automated clinical immunoassay system designed for use in mid-sized laboratories incorporates many of the functions of larger systems.

The Advia Centaur CP immunoassay system includes many productivity-enhancement features and the same assay methodologies and reagent packs as the Advia Centaur. Both are the products of Bayer HealthCare, Diagnostics Division (Tarrytown, NY, USA). The complete menu of disease state assay groups available on both the Centaur and Centaur CP include cardiovascular, oncology, fertility, and infectious disease testing.

Together with the Advia 1200 clinical chemistry system, the new Centaur CP works with Bayer's Advia CentralLink networking and data management solutions to deliver synergies of sample handling, connectivity, and functionality to provide a complete immunoassay and clinical chemistry solution. This enables smaller labs to offer a complete testing service without costly sample splitting and result collation.
