Advanced Osmometers for Better Accuracy

A new suite of diagnostic instruments includes a new osmometer that provides highly accurate freezing-point measurements.

The Advanced model 3320 micro-osmometer, from Advanced Instruments, Inc. (Norwood, MA, USA), surpasses previous standards of performance for freezing-point measurements. In addition, it offers a user-selectable, optional calibration routine that optimizes the linearity in the instrument's upper range, or up to 2,000 mOsm, and ensures testing accuracy and precision over the entire calibrated range. Easy access to the sample probe and solenoid assembly and simple architecture eliminate sample errors, simplify testing, and promote maintenance-free operation.

Advanced Instruments will introduce the 3320 model and other new products at the upcoming Clinical Leadership and Management Association (CLMA) ThinkLab '06 Conference & Exhibition in Charlotte (NC, USA) in March 2006. The products to be introduced include a multi-sample osmometer, a single-sample osmometer, a Stat Analyzer, a bilirubin Stat-Analyzer, an anaerobic system for creating microaerophilic environments in a jar, and quality-control materials.
