C&A, which generated revenues of approximately $7.5 million in 2005, will become an integral part of PerkinElmer's OneSource service products within its laboratory services business. OneSource consolidates all the essential laboratory equipment service needs of laboratories into a single customized solution, helping customers lower costs, increase service levels, improve productivity, simplify administration, and meet the demands of regulatory compliance. The acquisition leverages the strengths of both companies. Managed maintenance experts from C&A will complement PerkinElmer's technical expertise on a broad spectrum of capabilities for a wide range of equipment platforms. OneSource will offer customized managed-maintenance solutions tailored to the requirements of each customer.
"We continue to see our customers embrace the OneSource model, which enables them to realize significant cost savings through more focused management of maintenance expense and asset management, while ensuring maximum uptime for their laboratories,” said Robert F.
