Inhibin A ELISA Available Worldwide

A new enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA) for inhibin A is now available for worldwide clinical use from Diagnostic Systems Laboratories, Inc. (DSL, Webster, TX , USA). The assay was recently cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use as an aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of various hormonal reproductive disorders.

The DSL Inhibin A ELISA utilizes two highly specific antibodies in a two-site "sandwich” system to detect dimeric inhibin A in serum and plasma. This new procedure requires no sample pre-treatment or extensive reagent preparation, making it an easy and cost-effective assay that can be performed readily in clinical laboratories. Kits are offered in one- and four-plate configurations. The test can be performed manually or it can be automated on open-platform microplate assay systems.

DSL also supplies tests for hypertension, diabetes, thyroid function, infectious diseases, and certain types of cancer. Its products are sold in more than 70 countries through a network of direct offices, affiliates, and distributors.
