A manufacturer and marketer of automated in vitro diagnostic (IVD) urinalysis systems and medical devices used in reference clinical laboratories and hospitals has announced receipt of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and EN 46001 certification by its Iris Diagnostics Division. The company is International Remote Imaging Systems (Chatsworth, CA, USA).

International Remote Imaging Systems is a leading developer of automated urinalysis technology and image flow cytometry. The company's Automated Intelligent Microscopy (AIM) technology and Auto Analyte Recognition software (AAR) are designed to significantly reduce the cost and time required for manual microscopic analysis. A subsidiary, Advanced Digital Imaging Research (Houston, TX, USA), develops new imaging technology and conducts US government-sponsored research in medical imaging and software.

"Certification to these international standards is a step toward providing expanded entry of our new product platform, the iQ 200 System, into the European market through our network of new and existing distributors,” said Cesar Garcia, executive vice president of International Remote Imaging Systems.
