Lisbon to Host European Cancer Conference

The 11th European Cancer Conference (ECCO 11) will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, October 21-25, 2001 at the Park of the Nations. More than 10,000 clinicians, nurses, and researchers will attend this event, held by the Federation of European Cancer Societies (FECS).

Around 1,600 scientific papers and posters will review new developments in basic science including cell biology and the genetics of cancer; the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer; and developments in nursing care. Speakers will address important and sometimes controversial issues about the future of cancer research and care. Additional details on the program and registration are available on the FECS website
