The U.S. Hemlock Society is hosting the 10th World Conference on Assisted Dying, September 1-3, in Boston (MA, USA) at the Park Plaza Hotel. The three-day conference will include a number of international speakers and will commemorate the 20th anniversary of The Hemlock Society and the World Federation of Right To Die Societies.

The World Federation of Right To Die Societies will draw participants from 34 organizations in 22 countries who are concerned with the exercise of choice at the end of life to achieve a humane and dignified death. The organizers are hoping that the conference will serve to increase awareness of the right-to-die movement and the current legal issues associated with assisted dying in the United States.

The mission of the Hemlock Society is to maximize the options for a dignified death, including the legalization of physician aid in dying for terminally ill, mentally incompetent adults who request it, under careful safeguards.
