Cordless Energy Device Delivers Superior Tissue Sealing

An innovative ready-to-use cordless tissue sealer allows surgeons a new option for procedures where the speed and range of motion may be critical.

The Enseal G2 Cordless advanced bipolar energy device providing uniform compression, controlled temperature, and minimized thermal spread in a cordless, ready to use design. The device includes a generator and power source, so that no assembly is required, allowing for quick procedure set-up. Being cordless, the device removes the potential for tangled cords when multiple instruments are in use. The device is intended for use in a wide range of colorectal, gynecological, bariatric, and general surgeries, for sealing large vessels up to 7 mm in diameter.


Among the technology advantages offered by the device are I-BLADE technology, which delivers uniform compression across the entire length of the jaw; a seal strength that withstands up to seven times normal systolic blood pressure; a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) material designed to minimize sticking; and an offset electrode configuration designed to minimize thermal spread. The Enseal G2 Cordless is a product of Ethicon Endo-Surgery (Cincinnati, OH, USA), and has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
