Ethyl chloride topical skin refrigerants, called Pain-Ease, can be used for easing the pain during pre-injection anesthesia and for minor sports injuries. They can also be used for pain management due to trigger points using the spray-and-stretch technique. The refrigerant comes in two spray delivery systems, mist- and medium-stream spray.
Pain-Ease is the product of Gebauer Company (Cleveland, OH, USA), which has been in the skin refrigerants business for more than 100 years. Pain-Ease has received the CE Mark, and the company has received ISO 9001, EN 4600, and ISO 13485 quality certification.
"The company is in the process of setting up distribution channels in Europe to meet the current product demand,” said Libby Tamas, international business development director of Gebauer. "We will work with a centralized logistic warehouse in Europe to aid distribution.”
