在一项每隔一段时间就进行各种压力测试的研究中,研究人员发现,当测量人体模型所受按压力时,标准床垫只能将43%的CPR负荷传到心脏上;床垫下有板的话(目前常见的实际情况),有效率升高到52%;有了新型衬垫,81%的按压负荷可到达心脏。而且新型设计在10秒内达到并且超过床头板的按压效率。描述该新型床垫衬垫的研究发表在2009年6月的《重症监护医学杂志》上。
