An innovative point-of-care (POC) solution designed for ease of use and qualitative diagnostics is all set to become a game changer in the point-of-care (POC) and over-the-counter (OTC) space.
Anbio Biotechnology (Frankfurt, Germany) has introduced a new innovation in diagnostics, the LAMP Solution. This new solution leverages the Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) diagnostic technique, a method used to amplify and detect specific DNA or RNA sequences. The LAMP assay, a key component of Anbio's solution, finds widespread use in a multitude of applications, such as detecting infectious diseases. The LAMP Solution, developed by Anbio, exhibits exceptional specificity and sensitivity, coupled with rapid result generation. These features make it an ideal fit for OTC and POC diagnostics. Moreover, it offers several benefits compared to other POC diagnostic tools, such as the ability to conduct qualitative detection of molecular biomarkers within just 20 minutes.
The LAMP Solution is designed to be user-friendly, portable, compact, and rechargeable. Users simply need to collect the sample, mix in the extraction buffer, and insert it into the reader. In addition, the LAMP Solution offers a broad range of assays to detect a variety of infectious diseases. The precision of the LAMP assay is derived from the use of four to six primers, each identifying different regions of the targeted nucleic acid sequence, resulting in highly specific amplification. Unlike traditional PCR, the assay operates under isothermal conditions, eliminating the need for thermal cycling. The reaction yields a substantial quantity of DNA or RNA amplicons that can be observed through various methods, including turbidity, fluorescence, or colorimetric changes.
"The Anbio LAMP Solution is a game-changer in the POC and OTC space," said Krystal Tu, Global Marketing Director at Anbio. "Or LAMP solution provides easy, rapid, accurate, and reliable results for detection of various infectious diseases, species agnostic."
