Barco (Kortrijk, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium) demonstrated its next-generation surgical and diagnostic solutions at the 2021 edition of Arab Health which took place in Dubai from 21-24 June.

Barco exhibited its wide range of handhelds, laptops, PCs, printers, monitors and screens for various applications, including radiology and mammography that increase diagnostic accuracy and improve clinical productivity. For radiologists, Barco featured the Coronis and Nio series of color, grayscale and multi-modality diagnostic displays, display controllers and QA tools. They facilitate confident diagnoses while guaranteeing perfect image quality over time, and across displays. In the mammography field, Barco exhibited the Coronis and Nio series of display systems for digital breast imaging that offer image precision and diagnostic confidence. The company also highlighted its eGFX Home Read Stations that offer radiologists the flexibility they need to read at home.

Barco demonstrated its MDSC series of surgical and endoscopy displays that are designed to provide unsurpassed precision while meeting the specific safety and space requirements of the integrated operating room. Surgeons can view real-life anatomical images and improve hand-eye coordination with these surgical displays which present fluid live video, from HD up to 4K/UHD, using the best available color reproduction methods without a single form of compression. Images are rendered instantly and displayed precisely and consistently across displays, enabling reliable decision-making.

The company also highlighted its video-over-IP platform Nexxis for the integrated digital operating room that offers the best way to share uncompressed, high-resolution video (and audio) in and between operating rooms. High resolution, uncompressed medical images are presented with pixel-perfect precision and shared more efficiently. Nexxis meets every requirement of any surgical procedure. Users can plug and play (new) devices, switch sources with ease, and display images where and when needed for optimal viewing comfort and ergonomics. There are no interruptions, as the entire platform can be maintained remotely.
