Nycomed Amersham Imaging (London, UK) has acquired the Tomojet power injector system from Bruker AG (Zurich, Switzerland). The power injector will continue to be manufactured in Zurich.

Tomojet is used for the administration of contrast media for diagnostic investigations, and is available in versions suitable for both magnetic resonance (MR) and computed tomography (CT) applications. The system is particularly useful in the growing area of ultra-fast imaging where precision and reproducibility are required. Typical applications are contrast angiography, tumor diagnostics, organ perfusion, and incremental body imaging.

"This acquisition confirms our commitment to meeting our customers' needs, and to support new development in the use of contrast media to improve diagnostic information,” said Dan Peters, president of Nycomed Amersham Medical Diagnostics.
