Merivaara Showcases New Operating Room Innovations at MEDICA 2019

Merivaara (Lahti, Finland) showcased its latest operating table Smarter Practico with all innovative features together with its patient positioning partner, D. A. Surgical at the MEDICA 2019 Trade Fair held in Düsseldorf, Germany from 18-21st November.

The MEDICA is the world's largest medical trade fair for medical technology, electromedical equipment, laboratory equipment, diagnostics and pharmaceuticals. MEDICA provides the medical device industry with a central market for innovative products and systems that result in an important contribution to the efficiency and quality of patient care. The combination of product shows with international congresses, forums, as well as expert workshops, and the exchange of professional views make MEDICA a meeting point for international professionals from various fields in the medical sector.

The operating table is powered by smart controls that help in working more fluently and is easy and intuitive to use. Its user interface is similar to that of other Merivaara’s products and can be connected to the company’s OpenOR integrated operating room management system. The operating table comes with smart features, such as safety sensors and smart compensations.
