Novel diagnostic medical imaging software offers better access to health information, supports increased teamwork, and enhances communication among practitioners and patients.

ResolutionMD enables doctors to securely view patient images and reports from a wide variety of computers and mobile devices, collaborate with other practitioners, and take on diagnosis from any location. The mobile medical diagnosis software can be integrated into any electronic medical record (EMR) and easily plugs into existing distributed storage systems. A federated approach safeguards highly sensitive data, as the information is never moved to a device, and no additional data storage locations are created.

Features of the software include instant access to live voice and video consultations using either web applications for a PC or a mobile device; report creation using voice dictation to complete patient records immediately; and image sharing between facilities and providers, reducing the need to physically transfer images. A unique feature is the ability to perform precision measurements on mobile devices by leveraging a powerful lens tool for measurements on the go.

Connectivity features include integration to a range of EMR systems and cross enterprise document sharing (XDS) integration for greater accessibility and record sharing across or between healthcare enterprises. The system also connects to multiple picture archiving and communication system (PACS), vendor neutral archives (VNAs), and multiple cloud archives. Extended non-digital imaging and communications in medicine (non-DICOM) support allows access to any file type. ResolutionMD is a product of Calgary Scientific (AB, Canada), and is available in 12 languages.

“The benefits realized by mobile access to information and expertise are ideally suited to the needs of healthcare. Applications such as telestroke and telehealth that integrate mobile image viewing capabilities have been proven to save valuable minutes in accessing images, thereby cutting the time it takes to begin diagnosis,” said Pierre Lemire, President and CTO of Calgary Scientific. “The release of ResolutionMD 5.0, in combination with our global accreditations, offers leading technology to make virtual healthcare an industry standard.”
