Affordable, remote vital-signs monitoring system uses a sophisticated predictive algorithm for cardiac Interpretations on the fly.

The OSTAR A300 remote telehealth vital signs patient monitoring system provides comprehensive, cloud-based monitoring powered by a predictive, three simultaneous interpretations (3SI) algorithm of BP readings to determine cardiac arrhythmia, valve function disease, and coronary artery disease (CAD). The system can be configured based on provider, physician, nurse, chronic disease, drug, and various other accountable care organizations (ACO) metrics, all by using a simple integrated bar code scanner.

Furthermore, the device automatically connects to Wi-Fi and cellphone networks to seamlessly send relevant data, such as BP, interpretive cardiac alerts, pulse oximetry, weight, and pulse rate in real time to an electronic medical record (EMR) and to hospital information exchanges (HIEs) anywhere in the world. The OSTAR A300 remote telehealth vital signs patient monitoring system is a product of OSTAR Healthcare Technology (Vancouver, WA, USA).

“Given the current transformation of healthcare and trend to remote telehealth in the United States, this comprehensive nurse-centered form of remote telehealth changes the game for providers and insurance companies,” commented Paul Markham, MD, President of V3 Healthcare Strategies, a provider of healthcare consulting services. “The concept has the potential to impact shared saving plans in ACOs, while also positively impacting health insurance indicators. The result is reduced cost to healthcare systems and ultimately, to the American healthcare consumer.”
