GE Healthcare Presents Advanced Technologies and Equipment in Dubai

GE Healthcare (Chicago, IL, USA) presented several of its key new product introductions at Arab Health 2019, the biggest trade fair for hospital and medical technology in the Middle East.

GE Healthcare highlighted its new Revolution Frontier CT system that is designed to address individual clinical needs by moving seamlessly from one scan mode to the next. The company also presented its MAC VU360 ECG workstation featuring seamless integration for all ECG work and inherent ECG-system security. The company demonstrated the Discovery IGS 7 OR, a highly flexible hybrid OR solution that brings both intuitive 3D fusion image guidance and complete workspace freedom to the hybrid operating room, covering the needs of virtually any surgical and interventional specialty.

At Arab Health 2019, GE Healthcare highlighted AIR Technology Coil, an industry-leading MRI coil suite designed to truly conform to the human body. Each coil is lightweight, flexible and just like a blanket, they closely wrap around the patient for incredible image quality. The company also presented the new Senographe Pristina mammography system that is designed to deliver superior diagnostic accuracy for the detection of breast cancer during a mammogram. Also on display at the event was GE Healthcare’s Discovery MI, the only PET/CT system that brings together the sensitivity of digital detection with the most innovative reconstruction technology available for outstanding resolution to improve detection of small lesions.

Among the new products introduced at Arab Health 2019 by GE Healthcare was its 800 Series of nuclear medicine systems which includes a collection of SPECT enhancements such as SwiftScan Planar and SwiftScan SPECT that can increase sensitivity and enable reduction of scan times or injected dose by as much as 25% without any loss in signal-to-noise ratio. The company also presented its OEC Elite CFD C-arm portfolio, which offers stunning image clarity and detail at low dose with enhancements for an easy and efficient experience; and the new LOGIQ E10 ultrasound system that provides a new standard in imaging, advanced tools, and enhanced workflow ergonomics so clinicians can scan, diagnose, and treat a wide range of patients across a broad spectrum of conditions.

Other products and services highlighted by GE Healthcare at Arab Health 2019 included the CARESCAPEM ONE system, an intra-hospital transport monitoring solution that allows the same standardized monitor to be used for all in-hospital transport needs; and the company’s dose management solutions which give providers the necessary tools to achieve quality imaging outcomes at the lowest possible dose. GE Healthcare also demonstrated its Critical Care Suite, the first of its kind to embed artificial intelligence in an X-ray imaging device and is designed to quickly identify and help prioritize critical cases such as Pneumothorax.
