Advantech (Taipei, Taiwan) is presenting its newest line-up of iHealthcare solutions geared towards the intelligent and IoT connected hospital at MEDICA 2002, the world’s largest trade fair for the medical sector. MEDICA provides the medical device industry with a central market for innovative products and systems that result in an important contribution to the efficiency and quality of patient care.

At this year’s edition of MEDICA, Advantech is presenting its Point-of-Care Solutions with the POC-6 series and other products from its POC-series. Advantech offers the POC-6 Series of fanless medical all-in-one panel computers with medical safety certifications of UL60601-1, EN60601-1, and IEC6060. The POC-series medical computers support multi-touch screen and can be simply integrated with existing equipment configurations. The energy-saving medical computer delivers a high computing performance for enhancing healthcare services. Their lightweight and slim system design enable the POC terminals to be flexibly mounted in diverse locations to serve as OR dashboards, equipment control panels, and ICU information displays, providing critical data to medical staff to assist with life-saving decision making.

Advantech is also presenting the MIT-W102 medical tablet PC which is medical-grade certified, Windows-based and designed for the healthcare environment. With IEC/ EN 60601-1 certification, the medical tablet can be used in the most critical environments such as operating rooms, intensive care units and emergency rooms. Infection control is also one of the important elements for hospital and other healthcare facilities. To address this issue, the medical tablet PC is also certified with an IP-65 rating for the entire unit for ease of cleaning while its housing with antimicrobial coating can reduce the risk of the spread of contagious diseases. The unit also comes with MIL-STD 810G certification for 120 cm drop protection to ensure reliable operation.

In addition, Advantech is presenting its medically certified battery solution for mobile computing, medical surgery displays from Advantech Kostec and its 4K near-zero latency video streaming solution for hospitals. Advantech PAX surgical monitors from 24 inch to 32 inch provide ultimate quality images for endoscopic and surgical image systems, a variety of analog/digital input and output connectivity, and BLT (Brightness Leveling Technology). Surgeons, doctors, medical professionals and system integrators can find high quality and budget-friendly solutions for any applications and their OR environment from Advantech PAX display ranges. Also on display at MEDICA 2022 is the AVAS 4K video streaming, recording & management solution for hospitals. AVAS-212 is an IP-based data transmission system with a single-cable distribution architecture designed for installation in operating rooms. This system provides video, audio, and control signal streaming with minimal latency and supports rapid switching between streams. With AVAS-402, image and video signals can be collected from multiple sources and integrated for simultaneous display on monitors with diverse configurations.
