Researchers at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (Toronto, Canada), the University of Toronto (Canada), and other institutions conducted a retrospective cohort study based on linked health databases from the province of Ontario (Canada). Developed by researchers at MedUni Vienna (Austria) and Biomedizinische Forschungs (Vienna, Austria), the recombinant toxic shock syndrome toxin-1 variant (rTSST-1v) vaccine was developed from a detoxified Staphylococcus toxin.
